A tough winter walk from Horton in Ribblesdale covering the 26m circular
of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside & Ingleborough.
Completed the walk, with one dropping out at the bottom of Whernside. Conditions
were tough with very
strong winds all day and driving rain from midday onwards. The rain had
turned to snow by the time we had got to the
top of Ingleborough but thankfully it was still daylight, and the descent
to Horton was relatively easy, although tiring.
